Welcome to the t3.wy (T3.wy)Project!

History of the t3.wy Project
Every science has people on the side. Non-scholars, who developed a keen interest in this particular science, but never had a chance to study or otherwise become professionally involved with the subjects of their dreams.

In my case; I only discovered my love for ancient Egypt in 1998. By that time I considered it to be already too late to try and get a degree in Egyptology (although some will disagree).

Nevertheless, we (me and my wife) decided that we wanted to do something “out in the open” with this passion, so we decided to base our project on three topics, which would be rather easy to do research on: dig houses in Egypt, Biographies of Egyptologists and Photographs of then and now.

More about how we came to this decision can be read here.

Objectives

Dig houses
A much-discussed topic, lately!

All over Egypt, you can find these “homes away from home”. The places, where all those famous names of the past have spent their professional life, during excavation seasons, and their free time. Some of these houses have already disappeared, some are on the verge of being demolished and some (Like Castle Carter) will probably still be there long after we are gone.

Nevertheless, they do have a history of their own and are, in our opinion, worth of being surveyed, their history recorded for future generations.

And that’s exactly what we will try to do! Locate as many of these houses (or the location where they once stood) as possible and write articles about their history.

Future.
Aaah, the future is always unsure. Maybe we will add new content to the Website every week; maybe only once a month or year.

In any case, we will do our best to make our project the best on these three topics!
Of course, any outside help is more than welcome!

Enjoy and (maybe) learn!
